Confessions of a Middle School English Teacher

And So it Begins…

It is snowing outside.

In fact, I have been snowed in for the past four days.  The streets are a solid sheet of ice, and schools across the area have been closed due to the inclement weather.  Hence the birth of this blog.

I am a middle school teacher.  English, to be precise.  Precise enough to know that this sentence and the former are incomplete sentences.  It is okay to break the rules, if you know them.

That is the problem.  I teach middle school English, and no one knows what an incomplete sentence is, not to mention a run-on.

This is my fifth year of teaching, and I have seen the education system for what it is, both good and bad.  This blog is dedicated to all the educators out there who share my  pain.
